Drive by Kennywood during the summer, and you’re sure to hear the gleeful shouts from guests soaring down the Phantom’s Revenge. But, make that same drive on an autumn evening and, well, those gleeful shouts transform into screams of terror. When the sun goes down in October, Kennywood becomes what just might be the most haunted attraction in Pittsburgh. And, the only question is: Do you dare stroll through the front gate?
Enter through the front gates of Kennywood during October's Phantom Fright Nights, and discover a new side of Pittsburgh's most popular amusement park.
But, you'll have to decide at which of the nearly dozen haunted attractions you'll start. Stop by the Penny Arcade - now the Villa of the Vampire - where you'll be lucky to escape the vampire's wrath.
Of course, some of Kennywood's most popular rides will also be open during Phantom Fright Nights. The Phantom's Revenge, the Musik Express, and the Jack Rabbit are just a few slated to run.
During Phantom Fright Nights, Kennywood will be filled with fog, strobe lights, and plenty of scary characters. So, Kennywood recommends only children 13 and older attending.
Phantom Fright Nights is open every Friday and Saturday in October and on Sunday, October 7 and 28, 2018. Purchase tickets online, at Giant Eagle, or at the gate.
