Can anything really compare to chasing waterfalls? We’re pretty fortunate to live within easy distance of some pretty breathtaking waterfalls – from two Buttermilk Falls (Indiana County and Beaver County) to Fall Run Falls, right here in Allegheny County. If you’ve seen all of the big-name waterfalls in the area, you might want to follow this beautiful trail that leads to a gorgeous hidden waterfall near Pittsburgh.
Ohiopyle State Park is perhaps best known for the well-known and beloved Cucumber Falls and Ohiopyle Falls, but did you know it's also home to a hidden waterfall?
To find the hidden Jonathan Run Falls, follow the 3.7-mile Youghiogheny River Trail that's also dotted with a series of smaller waterfalls. (Don't forget your camera for this one.)
The out-and-back trail has earned an easy rating, making it one that's good for the little ones and dogs. (Just remember to keep your pup leashed at all times.)
