Pittsburgh’s long, storied history means it’s filled with historic, old buildings and perhaps even older tales, some of the paranormal. When you walk through the doors of this haunted attraction near Pittsburgh, you’re entering what once served as a funeral home for nearly a century. Castle Blood, however, is not your typical haunted house.
Once a funeral home where loved ones mourned lost souls, the old building has transformed into one of the area's most popular haunted attractions.
As you embark on the theatrical haunt, you might be relieved to know that you'll be in for some good, old-fashioned scares — but nothing extreme that might leave you with nightmares.
Your tour will take you up several sets of stairs, with 15 steps each, so just make sure you're wearing comfortable shoes and can easily walk the stairs.
Kiddos are allowed on the tour. However, if you're worried the scares might be too much for your little ones, you can buy tickets for one of the family-friendly shows.
Slated for October 20 and 27, 2019 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the "no-scare" show promises plenty of fun and treats for the kiddos. (Kids can also trick or treat in the haunted funeral home.)
