The Great American Banana Split Celebration kicks off this weekend in Latrobe. And, you definitely don’t want to miss it.
Mark your calendars, ice cream lovers! The Great American Banana Split Celebration takes Latrobe by storm August 24-26, 2018.
Or, perhaps you're up for a bit of competition? Then, sign up for the 5K Banana Run at Latrobe Memorial Stadium. The race is set for Saturday at 9 a.m. (Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.)
And, if you love banana cream pie, enter the pie eating contest. On your mark, get set...the contest starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Dollar Bank Stage.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the weekend's many activities, including the Friday Night Pep Rally, a car cruise, and a Banana Band Mini Parade.
And, find plenty to do with the kiddos, including watching yo yo and martial arts demonstrations. (Even better? Saturday night caps off with a spectacular fireworks show.)
The weekend will also feature plenty of live performances by such entertainers as the Laurel Valley Academy of Dance, Lovebettie, and Hayley Dailey. Producers from the Netflix show Mindhunter will also be on hand casting for extras.
