Just a little over an hour from downtown Pittsburgh, Linn Run State Park provides an idyllic backdrop for a day trip.

The trail also features the remnants of a former hunting campground. Dating back to before World War II, the building once housed the McGuiness Rod and Gun Club.

After you've finished the Flat Rock Trail, you might want to check out more of the park. Horseback riding, snowmobiling, camping, and picnicking are other popular activities at Linn Runn State Park.
