We’ve probably all heard that old saying that we need to stop and smell the roses, right? Sometimes, in the hustle and bustle of life, we forget about how amazing even the smallest of things – like stopping to smell the flowers – can be. Stop smell, and maybe even pick, the flowers at this lavender farm near Pittsburgh.
Enjoy a leisurely drive to Fairlamb Lavender Farm, in Sandy Lake, a sprawling family farm just an hour north of downtown Pittsburgh.
The farm originally focused on producing dairy before it transitioned to a beef farm. Since 2017, however, when the first 500 lavender plants were planted, it has been a blossoming flower farm.
