These 5 Pittsburgh Comedy Clubs Will Tickle Your Funny Bone
Most of us would probably agree that sometimes we need to escape from reality, even if for just a few hours. Comedy – and laughing until our sides hurt – is often the perfect way to do that. Fortunately, we can combine comedy with an evening out by heading to one of these five Pittsburgh comedy clubs for a bit of, well, comic relief.


Whether you want to laugh until your sides hurt or to try your hand at comedy, Arcade Comedy Theater's got you covered. The comedy club, which will be moving to its new location at 943 Liberty Avenue at the end of September 2017, also features Arcade Academy. Sign up for classes workshops, or to participate in an internship. Comedy classes are also available for kids between nine and 17 years old.

Dinner and an evening of comedy await at The Improv. Order a scrumptious meal from the menu that features such options as burgers, BLTs, nachos, chicken tenders, and the dinner salad. Watch fellow Pittsburghers participate in the Stand Up Pittsburgh competition, held on select days from September through December. Upcoming shows include Craig Robinson (November 2-4, 2017) and D.L. Hughley (November November 10-12, 2017).


Sit down for an evening of side-splitting laughter at the Steel City Improv. The comedy club regularly hosts long form improv shows as well as variety, sketch, and musical improv comedy performances. Aspiring comics can also hone their skills by taking classes at the Improv. Tickets go on sale at the theater 30 minutes before show time. Shows are recommended for individuals 16 and older. Classes are for those 18 and older. Kid-friendly shows are scheduled at times.


Laugh yourself silly at Unplanned Comedy Warehouse The comedy club in Lawrenceville also offers classes and workshop for aspiring comedians. The next free workshop is set for October 7, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Catch slapstick comedy by Slapstick Productions at one of several area sites, including the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South. Comedy shows are often held as fundraisers for various local organizations. Upcoming events include Ray William Johnson at the Crowne Plaza on October 12, 2017.
