Summer’s all about being outside. Sure, we can head to the nearest mega-cineplex, for example, to catch the latest blockbuster flick. But, why spend a few hours indoors when winter will be here before we know it? (Then, we’ll be snowed in, right?) Instead, grab your favorite blankets or chairs, pack the car, and head to this old-fashioned drive-in near Pittsburgh for a double-feature under the stars.
Buckle up and enjoy the ride to Brownsville Drive-In, just about an hour's drive from downtown Pittsburgh.
Pull through the turnstile, where you'll have your choice of double features on three big screens, each boasting "high-quality projection and stereo quality sound."
Then, find the perfect spot. Do you prefer sitting right in the front row, where you can spread out in front of the car? Or, do you like sitting a bit further back?
...burgers, hot dogs, chili dogs, and pizza. And, don't forget the popcorn, snow cones, and cotton candy. (After all, what's a trip to the drive-in without a bunch of goodies?)
Of course, if you arrive early for the perfect parking spot, you'll have plenty of time to toss a Frisbee, kick a soccer ball, or chat with other movie-goers.
