Beaver County BookFest Is The Best Book Festival Near Pittsburgh

Calling all book lovers, this one’s for you! Pittsburgh boasts a rich literary tradition and lays claim to an assortment of book shops. But, nothing quite compares to those special events that bring book lovers of all ages together with authors and, of course, books from all genres. So, mark your calendar because you won’t want to miss this spectacular book festival near Pittsburgh.

The 2018 Beaver County Book Festival runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Irvine Park.

So, bring the kids along to the family-friendly event that will feature a Children's Area. Kids can attend the Book Fest "Wizard Academy," an ode to the Harry Potter series, where they can play pin the scar on Harry and get their faces painted.

Wende Dikec, author of *Capone the Wonder Dog*, will appear in the children's tent from 11-11:30 a.m.

Of course, the adults will find plenty to do, too. Numerous authors are set to attend, including such Pittsburgh writers as Nadette Rae Rogers, Audrey J. Snyder, and Robert B. Herring, Jr.

Or, perhaps you're a local author? You, too, can register to take part in the Beaver County Book Fest until August 4, 2018.

And, carve out time to visit the vendors on hand, such as Usborne Books & More and Save The Pages.

Officially kick off the Beaver County Book Fest by attending the Opening Night Author Panel, set for Friday, September 7, 2018 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 online and $25 at the door.

The Beaver County Book Fest will be held at Irvine Park, located at 799 Corporation St., Beaver, PA 15009.
