Steelers fans know St. Vincent College as the host of training camp. But, did you know the college is also home to a spectacular nature reserve? The Winnie Palmer Nature Reserve stretches across 50 lush acres, brimming with vibrant meadows, wildlife, and trails. Of course, you can also visit during one of the many programs the nature reserve hosts. (Programs range from preschool age to adults.)

St. Anthony's Chapel holds a pretty impressive secret: Approximately 5,000 Christian relics. That makes it the largest collection of Christian relics in the world, second only to the Vatican. And, it is the largest public collection in the world. Among the relics on display are a piece of the cross on which Christ was crucified and the bones of several saints.

Gaze up at the stars at the Allegheny Observatory, a research facility of the University of Pittsburgh. The observatory welcomes guests - on select evenings from April through October - to embark on a tour of the observatory before, if the conditions are right, gazing at the nighttime sky through one of the telescopes. The family-friendly tour is ideal for kids seven and older.

Kentuck Knob, less than seven miles from Fallingwater, offers guided house tours. The home is open daily with varying hours, depending on the time of the year.
