A day at Kennywood Park pretty much guarantees a ton of fun, especially if you like an old-fashioned adrenaline rush. Most people know Kennywood as the home of the Jack Rabbit, one of the oldest roller coasters in the U.S.
The Jack Rabbit opened in 1920. Today, fans still stand in long lines to ride the classic wooden coaster.
You might want to take a turn on the Jack Rabbit, the Thunderbolt, the Racers, and the Steel Curtain, the latter of which reaches speeds of up to 75 miles per hour, before making your way to Kennywood’s fastest coaster.
Prepare for breakneck speeds of up to 85 miles per hour when you strap into your seat on the Phantom’s Revenge, the encore to the hugely-popular Steel Phantom, once the world’s fastest roller coaster.
As you’re zipping along the 3,365-foot track, the Phantom’s Revenge will glide by the Thunderbolt twice. Expect a whole lot of airtime on this epic Pennsylvania coaster.
Considered an intense roller coaster, the Phantom’s Revenge is popular with teens and adults, although younger riders can also join in on the fun as long as they stand 48 inches tall.
