Open Drive-In Movie Theaters Are Starting To Pop Up All Over Pennsylvania
Summer 2020 just might go down as one of the most unique summers in American, perhaps even world, history. As we deal with the continuing global pandemic, most of us are still searching for safe and fun activities to fill our summer calendars. For an evening of good, old-fashioned fun and delicious goodies, make your way to one of these drive-in movie theaters in Pennsylvania.

Celebrating its 86th season in 2020, Shankweiler’s Drive-In is America’s oldest drive-in movie theater and is definitely the place to go for a double feature. To ensure the safety of guests and staff, you are required to wear a mask when you leave your car to go to the snack bar or to the restroom. (Unlike pre-pandemic days, you must remain in your car at all times except to get food or to use the restroom.) The snack bar boasts a full menu of goodies – from classic popcorn to burgers. Catch a double feature at Becky’s Drive-In, a popular summer destination since 1946. The drive-in theater has pandemic guidelines. Only one guest per car, for example, can go to the snack bar at a time. Masks are required when you go to the bathroom or to the snack bar, the latter of which will offer a limited menu. All vehicles must also be parked at least nine feet from other vehicles. Click here for the official website of Becky’s Drive-In.

While the first film generally starts at 9:05, you can arrive as early as 7 p.m. to grab a good parking space. Click here for the official website of Cumberland Drive-In.

Plan your visit to Riverside Drive-In ahead of time by ordering your tickets online for the double feature, or just pay when you arrive at the ticket booth. The classic drive-in theater boasts a snack bar with such favorites as burgers, pizza, popcorn, and ice cream. Click here for the official website of Riverside Drive-In.
