Who’s ready for a good, old-fashioned summer day with the family? If you’re up for turning back the clock a bit to those carefree days of childhood, pack everything you need for a day at the beach, pile the whole family in the car, and head to Mt. Gretna Lake & Beach in Pennsylvania. Its swimming hole is the perfect place to spend a hot summer day.
Celebrate the start of summer with a day at Mt. Gretna Lake & Beach, which boasts an old-fashioned swimming hole and everything you need for a relaxing day of fun under the sun.
The popular lake and beach officially open on June 20 for the 2020 season, so start counting down the days. (Guidelines for keeping safe at the beach during the pandemic will be announced closer to the start of the season.)
While you might just want to soak up the sun and relax, you’ll also find everything you could want from an old-fashioned swimming hole – from a sand volleyball court to a playground.
If you’re a bit of a daredevil, dive in from the high diving platform, or soar over the cool water on a swing. The beach also features a diving board and wooden docks.
You can bring your own picnic, and spread out at a picnic table under the shade of the trees. Or, if you’d rather someone else do the work, stop by the snack bar for a bite to eat.
