With a population of just over 4,300, Hamburg is perhaps best known for its annual Taste of Hamburg-er Festival, an epic hamburger festival that shines a spotlight on one of America’s most famous sandwiches.
The town also hosts an annual Hamburg Fun Fest in mid-June. It boasts a full menu of family-friendly events – from live entertainment and fireworks to a petting zoo and rides.
If it’s quiet you’re after, spend some time outdoors in this charming small town. It’s home to several parks, including Hamburg Community Park, Kaercher Creek Park, and Kernsville Dam Recreational Area.
For simply sensational views, slip on your hiking shoes and follow the Pulpit Rock and Pinnacle Loop Trail, which takes you along the famed Appalachian Trail.
