The Moravian Book Shop, located in historic downtown Bethlehem, is not only the oldest book store in America, but it is also quite possibly the oldest continuously running book shop in the world. It was opened almost three centuries ago in 1745 by the Moravian Church, which has a strong presence in the area and has been operating ever since, though it has changed location a few times. The shop is also home to the Moravian College book store.
