We all need a little bit of whimsy in our lives, to do something fun that makes us forget life’s stresses. If you’ve ever spent time with goats, you already know that they may be relatively small, but they’ve got huge personalities. It’s downright impossible to be anything but happy when hanging out with these gregarious animals, which you can do when you sign up for a one-of-a-kind experience at this farm in Pennsylvania.
Every day the goats at Barakah Heritage Farm in Glen Rock go for a leisurely walk along the property to forage. You can join them.
Nestled in the countryside, the sprawling farm welcomes guests to join along on its foraging walk with rare heritage goats, an Airbnb Animals Collection experience.
Then the real fun begins. You’ll meet your goat, who will be on a leash, and set off on your adventure to the pasture. Chances are you’ll be head over heels in love with your new furry friend before she even begins foraging.
A seasoned guide will lead the way, answering any questions about the goats and caring for them. The walk will take you past other farm residents – Jasmine the donkey, retired racehorses, and even black Arabian horses.
After your walk, you may just be lucky enough to score a photo or two with a baby goat wearing a sweater. Be sure to bring your camera or make sure your smartphone is charged because photo-worthy moments are waiting every step of your adventure.
