Most of us fill our schedules with a ton of fun activities during the summer. After all, no matter how much we wish for it to last forever, summer’s all too fleeting, especially in Pennsylvania. Savor every sweet moment of the golden season by planning a visit to this u-pick fruit farm in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania.
Summer’s one of the tastiest times of the year in Pennsylvania. A drive on a winding road inevitably passes a farm stand where we can stock up on corn on the cob, fruit, and veggies, straight from the fields.
While roadside stands are an easy way to get the freshest fruits, indulge in a summertime tradition with a visit to Hausman Fruit Farm in Coopersburg, where you can pick your own strawberries and cherries.
The pick-your-own strawberry season usually runs from early to mid-June while cherry picking is traditionally from mid- to late June. If you don’t feel like picking the strawberries or cherries, you can still pick some up from the farm store.
But the season doesn’t end when the last of the strawberries and cherries have been picked. Sunflowers fill the fields in July. Stop by to take photos and pick your own.
Your first visit of the year to Hausman Farm likely won’t be your last. The beloved neighborhood farm, a staple since 1916, hosts events throughout the year, including the Gala Apple Festival in September and the Fall Farm Festival in September and October.
Close out the year with the most magical event of Christmastime at Hausman Farm’s A Country Christmas. From photos with Santa and campfires to hot chocolate, the Christmas celebration will likely become an annual tradition.
