A day at the zoo is the perfect adventure in all seasons. However, sometimes we can’t make it to the zoo, or we’re just in the mood to relax with a bit of streaming. The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium in Pennsylvania makes it easy to keep up with two of its most popular residents – the penguins and the cheetahs – 24 hours a day with its free webcams.
Get to know the cheetahs and penguins a little bit better with the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium’s free live cam of both popular zoo residents.
If you can’t see any of the cheetahs or the penguins on screen, you can take control of the camera for up to two minutes at a time. Once you hit the control button, use the eye to move the camera to different areas.
The zoo currently houses six cheetahs – mom, Naya, and her five little ones. While the cheetahs spend time outdoors all year round, you’ll sometimes find them in the cheetah building.
If you can’t spot a cheetah outdoors, the zoo recommends looking closely, as the cats blend in with the scenery. Look for movement, and you’ll likely find a cheetah.
Chances are you’ll spot the personable penguins having a whole lot of fun – from swimming to interacting with each other. Sometimes you’ll catch them snoozing and, if you’re lucky, you might catch sight of a recently-hatched penguin.
