Summertime may still be a ways off but that doesn’t mean we can’t start making plans. While some of us spend all year looking forward to fall, others live for the sunny days of summer. One of the most popular summer pastimes in Pennsylvania, visiting our favorite amusement park, is about to get even more fun in 2024. That’s because the first dive roller coaster in Pennsylvania will open, and it’s one epic adventure you won’t want to miss.
Dorney Park in Allentown will unveil what’s been called the first dive roller coaster in the Northeast during the summer of 2024, and it promises the ultimate adrenaline rush for coaster fans.
Designed by Bolliger & Mabillard, the Iron Menace will take riders on 90 seconds of fast-paced thrills as it races at speeds of up to 64 miles per hour for 2,169 feet.
Each of the two trains can sit up to 21 riders who will soar to the sky before dropping more than 150 feet. Get ready for four breathtaking inversions that include a 360-degree corkscrew spin.
