Step into The Firehouse, a restaurant in Pennsylvania, and you can almost hear the whispers of history. Everywhere you look are tributes to the firehouse that once occupied the building. A spiral staircase leads to a second story. The front garage door offers picture-perfect views of the street from the bar. And, plenty of firehouse-related artwork adorns the walls.
Before it became a popular restaurant, the building that houses The Firehouse Restaurant was Hope Station #2, part of the Harrisburg Hope Fire Company.
Grab a seat by the bar, which features a fire hydrant, as you await your table. Or, simply have a drink and enjoy the view of the restaurant and outdoors.
The Firehouse hosts a lively Happy Hour Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Or, stop by for Saturday's Happy Hour between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Of course, The Firehouse also serves lunch and dinner. Peruse the menu that features such dishes as Firehouse chili, fish and chips, and blackened salmon.
The Firehouse Restaurant welcomes diners Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Or, visit Friday or Saturday between 11:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.
