Making a meal from scratch requires quite a bit of time, and we don’t always have that time. We don’t have to worry, though, because living in a foodie state like Pennsylvania means finding whatever we’re craving not too far from home – especially when it comes to pierogies. Feast on some of the best handmade pierogies in Pennsylvania at The Pierogie Kitchen, and grab some for later, too.

A stroll along Roxborough Avenue in Philadelphia will lead you straight to The Pierogie Kitchen, an adorable shop that's known for its delicious Eastern European eats.
The main attraction of the shop is, of course, its homemade pierogies, which are made from scratch each day. That's no easy feat, either, as the pieorgie-making process includes 16 steps.
A takeout-only restaurant, The Pierogie Kitchen dishes up meals you can just take home and eat. Or, choose the frozen hand-pinched pierogies that require heating up once you're home.
The menu features all of the classics, including potato cheddar and farmer's cheese. If you're up for a flavor that's a bit more daring, try the Philly cheesesteak, the loaded baked potato, or the mushroom potato horseradish.
