With its raw natural beauty, Pennsylvania provides the ideal setting for exploration on foot, by bike, and on horseback. Pack your backpack with plenty of water. Charge your smartphone. And, discover the hiking trail in Pennsylvania that will transport you to another world.
Nestled in the epic 13,050 acre Ricketts Glen State Park, Falls Trail promises breathtaking beauty over just about every inch of its 7.2 miles.
The highlight of the loop trail is, of course, the 21 waterfalls you will pass on your journey. (Ricketts Glen State Park is home to 22 named waterfalls.)
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) warns all hikers to remain on the trail to avoid causing damage to the area and to prevent getting lost.
Plan your hike along Falls Trail before winter dawns and the trail closes for the season. Only seasoned, prepared hikers and ice climbers are permitted to hike Falls Trail during the winter months.
