So, start making plans for how and where you’ll view the splendor of the season in PA. Here are the predictions for fall foliage for Pennsylvania for 2018. Are you ready for an explosion of color in PA? Well, starting the week of October 1, much of the state, except for the southern portion, will enjoy partial fall foliage, according to SmokyMountain.com's Fall Foliage Prediction Map.
But, don't worry southern PA! The leaves will start their colorful change the week of October 8 while the rest of the state, with the colors hovering at near peak, prepares for the peak of the fall foliage.
That's right, according to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), PA's location, diverse topography, and 134 species of trees make for splendid fall foliage.
