On the hunt for a family-friendly way to spend a day outdoors? Or, maybe you’re searching for a fun outdoor activity with a group of friends? Elmwood Park Zoo, a Pennsylvania zoo and adventure park, offers something for everyone, including daredevils and those who prefer a more demure experience. Off we go!
Elmwood Park Zoo has a plethora of surprises at every turn. The cozy 16-acre zoo promises plenty to do: From feeding giraffes to zip lining over the resident bison.
Start your adventure meeting the many adorable residents of the zoo. You'll get an up close view of parrots, amphibians, capybaras, jaguars, and a host of other animals.
For an unforgettable experience, feed the giraffe or the bison. Visit the barn to feed the goats and the sheep. Or, enter the Birds of Paradise exhibit. Chat with (and feed, if you want) the residents, including tropical sun conures.
Adventure awaits! Treetop Adventures, the action-packed rope and climbing course, is a must visit. Good news, too. Courses are available for visitors four and older.
Not too sure about playing among the trees? Treetop Adventures features numerous courses, including the Quick Zip for both kids and adults. Try your hand at zip-lining before embarking on a more daring course.
All that excitement probably has you a bit hungry right about now, right? Fortunately, Elmwood Park Zoo hosts several eateries, including the Treetop Cafe, the Cafe, and Backyard Bites. Petrucci's Ice Cream Parlor is a popular spot for a cool treat.
