Meat lovers in Pennsylvania have no shortage of places to get their meat fix – from burger joints and steak restaurants to shops that sell the freshest meats in town. Instead of heading to your closest big brand grocery store next time you need meat for your next meal or cookout, head to this country store in Pennsylvania. It offers a large selection of fresh meats, cheeses, and homemade baked goods.
For nearly 50 years, Dietrich’s Meats & Country Store in Lenhartsville has been the go to for fresh meat, cheeses, and some of the best homemade pies, cakes, and cookies in the area.
While it may be a meat lover’s dream come true, you don’t have to eat meat to love this country store. If you’re not sure what you do like, you’ll love the free samples offered at the shop.
Don’t forget to check out local favorites, too, such as scrapple and Lebanon bologna. A large selection of smoked poultry and frozen products, such as hamburger patties and ground chicken, is also available.
Cheese lovers will be enamored with the large selection, around 18, of cheeses on the menu. Stock up on such favorites as baby Swiss, smoked sharp cheddar, and white American.
The beloved country store also sells a variety of homemade baked goods. Try such favorites as the Pennsylvania classic shoofly pie, apple pie, and cherry crumb. Grab some whoopie pies and cookies, too.
Take some time to stroll through the country store that also sells a large assortment of local fruit butters, homemade noodles, jellies, and jams. You’ll find everything you need to make a scrumptious meal and dessert.
