Trick or treat! Remember how much fun we had, as kids, going from door to door on Halloween? The best part just might have been checking out our loot at the end of the night. Aside from maybe sneaking some of the treats in our kids’ bags these days, we don’t usually get to trick or treat as adults…until now. Go trick or treating at Chaddsford Winery in Pennsylvania this year.
Celebrate Halloween with some good, old-fashioned trick or treating at Chaddsford Winery in Chadds Ford.
The winery will host an adults-only Halloween trick or treating event on Saturdays and Sundays from September 28 to October 27, 2019. Trick or treating session times include 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:30 p.m.
If you’ve never gone trick or treating at the charming winery, you’re in for a real treat. Instead of feasting exclusively on sugary treats, you’ll go from station to station, enjoying a featured wine paired with seasonal snacks.
Still love those treats from our childhood trick or treating days? You’ll get ‘em at the Adult Trick or Treat. Visit the Zombie Yard for a dirt cupcake, complete with a gummy worm, and paired with a ’17 Harbinger and Chaddsford Red.
After going through all of the stations, check out the food truck(s) on hand for the weekend. The kickoff weekend of September 28, 2019, for example, will host Mama Mia and Chillin Food Cart.
That’s just a sampling of what to expect at the adults-only trick or treat. Make sure you dress for the weather as you’ll be trick or treating outdoors just like the kiddos.
Purchasing tickets online for your desired session is strongly recommended. Online tickets cost $25 for one session. In addition to the snacks and wine sampling, you’ll also receive a souvenir wine glass.
If you wait until the day of the event and if the session you’re interested in isn’t sold out, you’ll be able to buy a ticket at the door for $30.

Don’t forget to wear your Halloween costume, too! (It’s not required, although it promises to be a ton of fun to dress up.) If you wear a costume, you’ll earn 20 percent off your bottle purchases during your visit.
