Anytime’s a good time to start planning our warm-weather adventures – whether we’re bundled up on a snowy winter day or staying cool in the A/C on a sweltering summer afternoon. We can always use a good beach day, soaking up the sun, wading in the cool lake water, and catching a glorious sunset. However, sometimes a day simply isn’t enough. That’s when we check into the campground in Pennsylvania where you can pitch a tent right on the sandy beach.
A beach day in Pennsylvania usually means heading to one of the 11 sandy beaches nestled on the shores of Lake Erie.
Sometimes, however, a day lounging on the beach just isn't enough. While Erie's brimming with cozy places to stay, you can't go wrong with a camping adventure.
Sara's Campground offers traditional RV camping. You'll be just a short walk from the beach, but why walk when you can stay in a tent on the sandy beach?
However, there's a catch. While you can reserve an RV spot, tent camping is first come first serve, and spaces tend to fill up quickly. Arrive early to snag a coveted spot on the beach.
Increase your chances of getting a spot on the beach by calling 814-833-4560 starting at 7 p.m. the evening before you want to visit the campground to find out if there are any spots the following day.
Sara's Campground, which is open seasonally, offers a full menu of amenities, including a general store, picnic tables, laundry, a game room, and a playground.
