We can all probably agree that we Pennsylvanians are pretty particular about our pizza. That’s no surprise, though, because we have some of the best pizza joints in the country, and one small town in Pennsylvania even holds the title of the Pizza Capital of the World. You’ll find a delicious pizza joint on almost every corner.
If you love a good pizza, you must visit Old Forge, a small town that’s earned props as the Pizza Capital of the World. It is home to more than a dozen pizza shops, and each is worth a visit.
However, did you now that Old Forge pizza isn’t your average pizza? Nope, it’s even better. Instead of pie, locals call it trays because the pizza is made in a rectangular tray. You’ll be served cuts rather than slices.
Traditional Old Forge pizza comes topped with a mix of mozzarella, cheddar, and American cheeses.

Bring a mighty appetite with you to Old Forge, and make one of your first stops Arcaro & Genell, a local favorite since 1962. Some, in fact, say the pizza joint serves the best pizza in town.
Choose from a variety of pizzas that include thin crust, single crust, and double crust. Try a cut of red or a full tray that’s piled high with all of your favorite toppings. Want some for the road? Order the take ‘n bake pizza.
Grab a tray to go or sit down at Mary Lou’s Pizza. It earns rave reviews for its classic red pizza and for its special pizza. The special pizza comes topped with Murazzi’s hot sausage, peppers, and fried mushrooms.
Ready for more delicious Old Forge pizza? Stop by Revello’s Pizza, a town classic since 1967. Tantalize your taste buds with the red pizza, white pizza, or broccoli white pizza.
Don’t forget to take a peek at the rest of the menu, too, that’s brimming with such favorites – all homemade, of course – as spaghetti, ravioli, and gnocchi.
Then there's Anthony’s, which also earns praise as “the world’s best pizza.” The menu features the classic tray Old Forge style red and thin crust red or white.
