As we glide toward the spookiest day of the season, we have so much to do – between fall festivities and Halloween-centric events – that the final day of October will be here before we know it. That means being a little pickier when it comes to deciding what to add to our calendars. If you’ve not yet been to these top Halloween events in Pennsylvania this season, try to squeeze in a visit before the season ends.
USA Today recently announced its annual list of the 10 Best Theme Park Halloween Events in the United States, and two Pennsylvania parks – Knoebels Amusement Resort and Hersheypark – made the list of top reader choices.
Knoebels Hallo-Fun Weekends run through October and promise a ton of fun for visitors of all ages. Such family-friendly activities as cookie decorating, pumpkin painting, and spin art are all on deck.

Select rides will be open for Hallo-Fun, which will feature live entertainment, character breakfasts, and plenty of good food. Dig into a delicious selection of seasonal treats – caramel apple dip, pumpkin funnel cakes, kettle corn, and more.
Hersheypark’s Halloween boasts a full menu of fun, through the end of October, for visitors of all ages. Kiddos can follow the Treat or Treat Trail and score goodies at the 13 stops.
Hersheypark, 100 Hersheypark Dr, Hershey, PA 17033, USA
Get in the Halloween groove at the Character Glow Dance Parties; ride your favorite coasters, and indulge in a variety of seasonal treats. The Halloween event at Hersheypark will also feature an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet for a separate price.
Consider purchasing a tasting pass, so you can sample some of the tastiest (and spookiest!) treats – Toxic Mac & Cheese and Blood Orange Lemonade – of the season.
Bring a flashlight too, so you can head over to ZooAmerica, where you’ll come face-to-face with the “Creatures of the Night.”
