We might not be close to the ocean’s shore, but we certainly aren’t missing out on sandy beaches, cool water, and a delightful Pennsylvania beach day. No matter what corner of the state we live in, we’re likely within easy driving distance of a sandy beach at one of our local state parks. If you need a bit of inspiration, however, follow this day trip that will take you to several sandy beaches, an adorable ice cream shop, and a waterfront restaurant.
Drive time runs just over two hours and 15 minutes, so that gives you plenty of time in each location. Here is the Google Map for the day trip.

However, it's also home to three sandy beaches. Soak up the sun; cool off; and visit the spillway before making your way to our next stop. Get a peek at just some of the magic that awaits at Pymatuning State Park in our previous article.
