Next time your sweet tooth starts throbbing, head over to Bakery on 5th, one of the city’s newest bakeries that features an eclectic menu of French and Turkish baked goods.
Browse the menu, where you’ll find a long list of classics – croissants, Danishes, eclairs, and macarons, all of which pair perfectly with a coffee. Bakery on 5th pours a variety of coffees, including dark roast decaf, lattes, and Turkish coffee.
What really makes this Erie bakery stand out, though, is its Turkish bakery, which provides an authentic taste of Turkey. If you’re looking for a lunch spot, stop by for a mini pizza or a sandwich.
Guests also praise the baklava. You have several from which to choose, including pistachio and walnut, both available in four pieces, and the one-piece Midye and Havuc.
Craving something sweet? Try a chocolate Acma, a Turkish bagel. Olive and cheese Acmas are also on the menu, and you don’t want to pass by the pogaca. The fresh bread comes plain or with cheese or double cheese.
