1. The National Apple Harvest Festival, Biglerville
Carve out time to visit the National Apple Festival, set for the weekends of October 6-7 and 13-14, 2018. The action-packed weekends, celebrating the apple, feature apple art, apple jellies, and apple syrup making. Of course, you’ll find plenty of family-friendly activities, including hay rides, puppet shows and pony rides. More than 300 vendors will also attend.
The National Apple Harvest festival takes place at the South Mountain Fairgrounds, located at Narrows Road, Biglerville, PA 17307.
Downtown Franklin hosts Applefest October 5-7, 2018. The three-day apple festival features a full menu of activities, including an apple pie baking contest, an apple pie eating contest, and plenty of arts, crafts, and entertainment. And, if you like classic cars, check out the Antique and Classic Car Cruise Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This one’s for you apple and cheese lovers! The Pennsylvania Apple & Cheese Festival returns to Canton on October 6-7, 2018. Discover plenty to do during the two-day festival, including wine and cheese tasting, an apple pie contest, apple displays, and entertainment. An art show, chainsaw carving, and children’s activities are also planned.
The Pennsylvania Apple & Cheese Festival will be held at Manley-Bohlayer Farm, E Canton Cross Rd, Canton, PA 17724.
Spend the weekend of November 3-4, 2018 at the Apple Festival at Peddler’s Village. The weekend festival features a variety of outdoor activities. Stop by the festival, which runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.

Mark your calendar for the Johnny Appleseed Festival, set for October 12-14, 2018. The annual festival is known for its lumberjack competition. Other popular activities include a cornhole tournament, a horse pull, and an apple pie baking contest. Of course, plenty of food and craft vendors will also be on hand for the weekend festival.
The Johnny Appleseed Festival will be held at Sheffield Memorial Park, 318 S. Main St. Sheffield, PA 16347.
Spend a jam-packed weekend at the Hickory Apple Festival, set for October 6-7, 2018. The two-day festival, benefiting the Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Company, boasts children’s rides, a petting zoo, crafts, and an apple pie-eating contest. Of course, there will be plenty of good food, too, such as apple dumplings, apple crisps, and apple cider.
The Hickory Apple Festival will be held on Main Street (Route 50) in Hickory, PA 15340.
Sip fresh-pressed apple cider at the Delmont Apple ‘N Arts Festival, slated for October 6-7, 2018. The weekend festival features more than 30 food vendors, 150 craft vendors, and live entertainment. Kid-friendly activities include pony rides and a petting zoo.

Spend a late September afternoon at the New Cumberland Apple Festival. The daylong festival, set for September 29, 2018, runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day will feature an apple pie eating contest, a Lego contest, and entertainment. Plenty of food vendors will also be on hand.
The New Cumberland Apple Festival will be held at New Cumberland Borough Park, 517 Front St., New Cumberland, PA 17070.
