That’s likely what you’ll discover, too, when you visit this national wildlife refuge in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
Add a bit of adventure to your week with a visit to the 22,000-acre Cherry Valley National Wildlife Refuge in Stroudsburg, a peaceful escape for nature and outdoor lovers.
The Pennsylvania Audubon Society has deemed the Cherry Valley National Wildlife Refuge an "Important Bird Area."
Partially flanked by the Kittatinny Ridge, the wildlife refuge features a variety of landscapes, including wetlands, forests, fields, and streams. It's also a haven for migrating birds in the autumn.
Make sure you visit at least once in the fall, where you might be lucky enough to see some of the 20,000 migrating raptors or other bird species.
