I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Here in Oregon, there’s a lot of competition when it comes to tacos. We take our #TacoTuesday very seriously here! So when we say we’ve found a place serving up the *best* tacos in Oregon, we mean it. In West Salem, Latinx-owned Xicha Brewing has made a name for itself as one of the Pacific Northwest’s premiere breweries. They also just so happen to make the best tacos in Oregon.
Hidden in a retail strip in West Salem, Oregon, you’ll find Xicha, a Latinx brewery and restaurant.
Known as the premier Latinx brewery in the PNW, Xicha's brews are light and refreshing. You'll find varieties such as a German-inspired Playa Pils, mango-infused Pale Especial, and the Catarina Guava Sour, a collaboration with Oregon favorite Deschutes Brewery.
And just when you thought your meal couldn't get any better, there's dessert. There are just two options on the dessert menu: flan and churros. But they don't need anything else, because both are absolutely spectacular! The churros are served with a Mexican chocolate dipping sauce, and it's the stuff dreams are made of.
Level up your Taco Tuesday with a visit to Xicha Brewing. This Latinx eatery is a celebration of Latin American cuisine, locally made cerveza, and vivacious culture.
Are you craving all.the.tacos now? We don’t blame you! Definitely venture up to Xicha Brewing the next time you’re craving tacos… you know, like right now. Stay in-the-know about all things tacos (and cerveza!) by following Xicha Brewing on Facebook.
