How does a glass of wine sound? If you’re craving some vino, you certainly have plenty of choices here in Oregon. With more than 720 vineyards and wineries, there’s probably one that’s not too far from home. With a contagious virus threatening our health and safety, visiting in person might not be the best idea right now, but that doesn’t mean you have to forgo your favorite wine. There’s a vineyard in Turner that will deliver right to your doorstep.
Willamette Valley Vineyards got its start back in 1983, and it has grown into a world-class estate vineyard with more than 500 acres of hand-farmed grapes.
While it's best known for its award-winning Pinot Noir, it also offers many other varietals, including chardonnay, pinot blanc, pinot gris, riesling, merlot, cabernet, and more.
The best way to try the wine here is by visiting in person. Sit on the patio and enjoy the vineyard views while sipping and enjoying the company of friends and family.
Of course, right now COVID-19 has changed the way we live. The vineyard's tasting room is closed for on-site tastings, and is only doing to-go food and wine orders.
You can stop by to pick up your wine, or have it delivered right to your door. Right now, the vineyard is offering free delivery with $100 orders to Salem, Keizer, Albany, Corvallis, McMinnville and surrounding area residents.
