Two of our favorite things about Oregon are its beautiful hiking trails, and its excellent wine, and you can combine both on an epic, four-day wine hike! Check out this adventure with Morrisons Rogue Wilderness Adventures:
What's better than an Oregon hiking trip? How about an Oregon hiking trip that includes wine in a cozy lodge every night? Morrisons Rogue River Adventures offers a four-day "wiking" trip that's a dream come true for nature-loving wine enthusiasts (hiking + wine = wiking).
You'll start your adventure right here at Morrisons Lodge, where you'll check in and enjoy a delicious, four-course dinner. In the morning, enjoy a breakfast buffet, then meet up with your hiking companions and guide.
Along the way, you'll enjoy stunning views of the Rogue River. In some places, the trail departs from the river, and takes you deep into the forest, but then brings you right back to the river's banks. Your guides will provide your lunch trail-side.
The Rogue River trail was once used by miners and pack mules, and it's considered moderately challenging. You'll encounter elevation changes of around 1,000 feet each day
Rafts are also available for you to climb in for a change of scenery or a rest break, so you can float down the Rogue for awhile before hopping back on the trail. Rafts are also used to transport your overnight bags, so you can just enjoy your hike with a light backpack.
You'll stay overnight at Black Bar Lodge, Marial Lodge, and Paradise Lodge before returning to Morrisons Lodge at the end of the fourth day. Every night, you'll enjoy dinner and delicious wines, presented by different local winemakers.
Visit the Morrisons Rogue Wilderness Adventures website to book your trip, and check out the adventure company’s Facebook page to see what else is going on there!
