Coastal Brookings, Oregon, is a town of just 6,837 residents, but it’s home to one of the biggest and best holiday lights displays in the state. This affordable, 45-minute, walk-through winter adventure is located in the 33-acre Azalea Park each year and is created by a dedicated group of hard-working volunteers. Azalea Park is a beautiful park at any time of year; its home to ancient native azaleas that were already growing here when Lewis and Clark arrived. Today, people visit Azalea Park to enjoy the formal gardens, playing fields, picnic areas, playground, and trails, but at no time is it more alive than during Nature’s Coastal Holiday Festival of Lights.
