See What Life Was Like On The USS Blueback Submarine At Oregon Museum Of Science & Industry
If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to live and work on a submarine, you’ll want to visit the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in Portland. It’s home to the USS Blueback – a former Navy submarine that served from 1959 to 1990.

These bunks were used for "hot racking." One bunk was assigned to more than one sailor. As a sailor woke up and started his shift, another would take his bunk to sleep after completing a shift.
