I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
The birds are chirping, the bees are buzzing — spring is in the air, and we’re ready to embrace this most beautiful season of rebirth and renewal! And for us, that means heading outdoors to bask in the beautiful Beaver State, getting up close and personal with Mother Nature. One of our favorite places to do that is Triskelee Farm, a beautiful slice of pastoral paradise in Oregon! With adorable farm friends that include llamas, pigs, and goats, there’s no better place to revel in this season’s resplendence than this beautiful Beaver State farm.
We can all agree that there's nothing better than a day spent in nature.
For some of us, that means lacing up our boots and hitting the trails. But for animal lovers, the opportunity to surround ourselves with furry and feathered farm friends is what makes our hearts happy.
Just 30 minutes from Portland, Triskelee Farm is a picturesque, family-run farm that's home to some of the animal kingdom's most adorable creatures: alpacas, ostriches, goats, horses, and more.
There's something so beautiful about connecting with the natural world in a hands-on way. It's something we can all use a bit more of; an experience that's grounding and soul filling.
So this spring as the flowers open up and new life flourishes, make a point of spending a day at the farm. You're sure to make some new friends when you visit Triskelee Farm in Oregon!
