I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
This year, Oregon was launched into the national culinary scene in a big way. “Top Chef Portland” aired on Bravo TV this spring, and featured two Oregon chefs: Gabriel Pascuzzi, chef and owner of the Portland restaurants Mama Bird and Stacked Sandwich Shop, and Sara Hauman, who leads the culinary program at Soter Vineyards, creating some of the most innovative and delicious fare in the Willamette Valley. While neither of these Oregon-based cheftestants took the coveted title, simply competing in this competition was a huge honor; and in fact, since the season aired, Soter Vineyards has been receiving record-level reservations, as folks are eager to dine on a Top Chef level meal created by Chef Sara.
Located in the winsome Willamette Valley, Soter Vineyards is a picturesque place that seems almost too beautiful to be real.
Soter is committed to sustainability and biodynamics, operating within a regenerative farming system focused on biodiversity, integration of plants and animals, and soil health. The food reflects this love and care; it's some of the freshest and most vibrant you'll ever taste.
Chef Sara leads the culinary program at Soter Vineyards alongside a small team of chefs. Hauman and her team are creating some of the most innovative and delicious food in the PNW.
Tastings are available Friday through Wednesday with advance appointment at either 11:30 a.m. or 2:30 p.m. Visit Soter Vineyards to make a reservation.
