The Oregon coast is hands-down the best place to find fresh, delicious seafood, but it doesn’t always come dressed up in a fancy restaurant. Here’s a humble little shack that’s serving up some of the best crab in the state.
Tony's Crab Shack is located in the adorable town of Bandon. You'll find it at 155 1st St SE, Bandon, OR 97411. It's connected to the Port 'O Call Bait and Tackle shop.
Owner Tony Roszkowski hails from New Jersey, but we won't hold that against him. He's been here since 1989, and he transformed this little bait-and-tackle shop into a thriving seafood shack. If you're lucky, you'll see him there when you visit. Tell him we said "Hello!"
The fish tacos here are award-winning. Local rock cod is served up on corn tortillas with fresh cabbage, homemade pico de gallo, and a special spicy aioli sauce.
If you have a really big appetite (or you want to share with a friend), get the Seafood Combo with 1/2 Dungeness crab, 1/2 pound of steamer clams, three prawns, coleslaw, pasta salad, and garlic bread. It's an entire feast!
Want to harvest your own seafood? Pop over to Port 'O Call to rent crab rings, fishing poles, clam shovels, and more. Take your treasures from the sea over to Tony, and he'll cook them up for you.
