Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is located right on the waterfront in Portland.

While there are plenty of fascinating exhibits to explore within the museum, one of the best attractions is actually outside.

The USS Blueback is a historic Navy submarine used to complete missions throughout the 1960s-1980s.

The sub was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

This one-of-a-kind historical locale offers visitors the chance to tour a preserved submarine.

Tour groups are offered throughout the day, taking visitors around the control room, torpedo room, as well as the kitchen and sleeping quarters.
