I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Oregon is a state that’s full of such immense beauty, that it can be overwhelming. From waterfall chasing and hiking through old-growth forests to the high desert and incredible coast, there’s just so much beauty to behold in the Beaver State. Our advice? Sit back and immerse yourself in the scenery… aboard a train! And if the beach has your heart, you’ll love the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad. This perennial favorite offers scenic train rides all year round, so you can enjoy the coastal landscape of Oregon any season of the year.
There are many ways to experience the splendor of the Oregon Coast, but nothing quite compares to the eponymous Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad.
Since 2003, the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad has provided scenic excursions of the Beaver State's beautiful shoreline, primarily between Garibaldi and Rockaway Beach.
During the spring and early summer, the Oregon Coast is at its most dazzling, with the bold blue skies and cobalt waters creating a scene of transcendent beauty.
During the autumn, the landscape of the coast is painted in bold oranges and golden yellows, and the Fall Splendor Excursion offers an immersive experience of this magnificent metamorphosis.
And during the winter, a quiet peacefulness descends upon the Oregon Coast. Add in the twinkly lights of the holiday season, and you have a recipe for pure Christmas magic!
