There’s a fascinating museum in Gold Beach, and it’s tucked away in a place you’d never expect to find it. Check out the Rogue River Museum, which you’ll find inside the gift shop of Jerry’s Rogue Jets:
Jerry's Rogue Jets has been taking folks on tours of the Rogue River for generations.
River tours include the Mail Boat tour, a 64-mile trip that takes you on the mail route to the town of Agness, or longer 84 or 104-mile whitewater adventures that include a stop for lunch.
The whitewater adventures include lots of spraying surf and some fast speeds, but you'll also be treated to wildlife sightings.
Bald eagles, ospreys, deer, and many other animals are plentiful along the banks of the Rogue, and your tour guide will point some out to you during your tour.
After your tour is over, you'll want to head into the Jerry's Rogue River Museum and Gift Shop, where you'll find some great gift items like t-shirts and stickers...
...and you'll also find a cool little museum, hidden away in the corner of the shop. The Rogue River Museum is definitely worth your time.
