If you love wine, you definitely live in the right state. Oregon has tons of great vineyards, wineries, and tasting rooms, and there are plenty of award-winning wines to sip all over the state. There’s one winery here that not only has great wine…it’s also home to a family of alpacas and you can see ’em while you sip.
Welcome to Rellik Winery! This pretty property boasts fruit orchards, vineyards, a tasting room, and alpacas.
Address: 970 Old Stage Road, Central Point, OR 97502
The 15-acre property was purchased by Delando and Zoey Pegan and partners Christopher and Jessica Wallace in 2017. Some changes have been made over the last couple years, and if you haven't visited recently, you're going to want to take a look.
The original vineyards grew Cabernet and Chardonnay grapes, but they were expanded in the last few years to include new varietals like Malbec, Tempranillo, and others.
Don't forget to say hello to the alpacas! When the new owners purchased the property, it was already home to these sweet, fuzzy friends. It was agreed that the alpacas should stay right here, and we're glad they did.
You'll see these lovable creatures wandering through the fruit orchard, and can often watch them right from the tasting room. Alpacas are intelligent, quirky animals, and each has a distinctive personality. They're a lot of fun to observe!
