Christmas is right around the corner, and if you’re looking for a fun family outing to kick off the season, you’ll want to head to Redland Family Farm. This gorgeous Christmas tree farm hosts an annual festival, but this year it’s just two days long, so you’ll want to put it on your calendar now!
Redland Family Farm is a family-owned and operated Christmas tree farm just south of Portland, in Oregon City. The farm welcomes the public every year for a special Christmas tree festival.
The farm is located at 19400 S. Redland Rd., Oregon City, OR 97045.
This year, to preserve a healthy stock of trees, the festival runs for just two days - December 1st and 2nd. When you visit, you'll find pre-cut trees to choose from, or you can grab a handsaw and go for a stroll through the farm to cut down your own.
Then they'll give the tree a shake and a bale (this is where they shake all the bugs and loose needles off, then tie it up nice and tight for the ride home).
Give the animals on the farm a little love, too! The petting zoo is free to visit, and your trip just won't be complete until you've snuggled with a goat.
Pick up some unique, locally-made gifts for everyone on your holiday list. There's no need to visit a big box store when you can find one-of-a-kind gifts right here.
Are you making plans this year to visit Redland Family Farm? You’ll find further details about the farm on its website, and follow its Facebook page for the latest updates and news.
