Portland's Singing Christmas Tree is celebrating its 56th season this year. Attendance has long been a family tradition for many Oregonians, and every year, the show seems to get even better!
The performance got its start back in 1962, with a budget of just $500 and a small venue. Over the years, the show has gotten bigger and bigger, adding more performances and elements to make the evening even more special.
The show is two hours long, and includes more than 350 performers including the adult choir, which makes up the Christmas tree, children's choir, dancers, musicians, and even actors.
