We are all pretty lucky to live in Portland. It is a beautiful place with a whole lot going for it that sets is apart from the rest. These are the 10 reasons why our City of Roses is the most unique in the country.
1. Our Views Are Second To None
Whether you are looking to the east to Mt Hood or the north to Mt St Helens, you have to admit that we have some pretty phenomenal views in our city.
2. Our Parks Are Amazing
We have so many beautiful and thoughtfully planned parks throughout our city that truly set us apart.
3. Portland Street Art Is Inspiring
Whether it is street murals, art, or fountains, our city is decorated well.
4. Our Food Scene Is Amazingly Delicious
We have a vibrant mix of street carts, fine dining, and everything in between, and we support local cuisine in force.
5. Portland Roses Are The Best
We have the International Rose Test Garden, the Peninsula Park Rose Garden, and every other yard in the city when we need to stop and smell the roses.
6. Portland River Views Are Incredible
The bridges and waterfront help define Portland's downtown, and we are so here to soak up all the sunshine enjoy a walk along the river.
7. Our Farmers Markets (And Produce) Are Amazing
We support local food and farmers and they come out in force throughout the city to sell their products.
8. Portland Attractions Are Top Notch
We have a lot of top notch attractions to see and do. The Oregon Zoo, World Forestry Center, Hoyt Arboretum, and the Portland Japanese Garden are just some of the attraction at Portland's Washington Park.
9. We Love Our Green Spaces
We love our green spaces throughout the city and escape to them whenever we can. Whether to walk our dogs, bike, walk, run, or just get outdoors, we are an active bunch in Portland.
