When you grow up in Portland (or at least spend a few decades here), certain things just become part of you. While this isn’t a bad thing, sometimes these habits can be hard to shake, even when we leave the City of Roses. Do any of these Portland habits sound familiar to you?
1. Bringing A Rain Jacket Along
You never know when you will need it.
2. Scanning Restaurant Menus For Local Beer and Wine
Ours is the best.
3. Leaving the Umbrella At Home
Why fuss with an umbrella when you can just put on your hood? Besides the wind will instantly break your umbrella 9 out of 10 times.
4. Bringing A Sweater To The Coast
We know it will never be hot on a trip to the Oregon coast.
5. Staying In The Car At The Gas Station
Even when we travel out of state it can be difficult to remember that no one will come help you if you just wait.
6. Being A Foodie
We have so much great food that it is hard not to swoon over your favorite food cart, restaurant, and chef.
7. Feeling The Need To Be Outdoors
Nature is always calling us to come outside and enjoy the amazing world around us.
8. Being The Politest Drivers On The Road
We have been voted some of the most polite drivers in the country by various polls, and if you don't believe it, head over to a four-way stop and see how things pan out.
9. Dressing Casual
We love casual, and no one is getting us to dress up for anything.
10. Ready For The Next Adventure
We are an adventurous group and always ready to get out there and have an adventure.
What do you think? Do any of these things sound familiar to you?
