The Pacific Crest Trail runs all the way through Oregon, and the Bridge of the Gods in Cascade Locks is most hikers’ final moment in the Beaver State before crossing into Washington. We love our PCT, and every year we celebrate with PCT Days. This year’s festival starts on August 16th and goes through the 18th. Make plans now to attend!
This year marks the 13th annual Pacific Crest Trail Days festival, which celebrates the trail, its hikers, and outdoor stewardship. The festival is free, though a donation of non-perishable food, or personal care products is encouraged.
Address: 355 Wa Na Pa Street, Cascade Locks, OR 97014
Whether you're a current thru-hiker, someone who's interested in hiking the PCT, or just an outdoor enthusiast who loves Oregon's natural beauty, there's something here for you at this three-day festival.
Dozens of sponsors will be at the festival to show you their gear, or tell you about their organizations. Sponsors include National Geographic Maps, Chaco, Gregory, Gerber, U.S. Outdoor, Granite Gear, and many more.
...and compete for prizes at sponsored activities like Outdoor Trivia, Outdoor Apple Bobbing, Tug Of War, Compete to Win, and Relay for the Outdoors, and more.
You'll hear presentations about the trail, its history, trail town etiquette, volunteer trail maintenance, outdoor ethics, and other interesting topics that will get you all geared up to start planning your PCT hike.
On Friday and Saturday evenings from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., lay out your blanket or set up your chair and enjoy the PCT Days Film Series. Two films will be screened each night.
Camping is available during the festival for a fee, but unless you're a current thru-hiker, you'll want to make your reservation in advance. Campsites for this popular festival go fast, so visit the website soon to secure yours.
